Round 1 Arena National Swimming League

Great swimming from St Ives all the way through, very proud Head Coach!


St Ives swimmers took part in the first round of the Arena National Swimming League at Spalding against Cambridge, Kimberly (Nottinghamshire), Sounth Lincs (Lincolnshire) and Loughborough (Leicestershire), a close fought competition between the two Cambridgeshire Clubs over the course of the evening resulted in the City of Cambridge winning by two points ahead of St Ives, Final Results were:


Cambridge: 187 Points

St Ives: 185 Points

Kimberley: 162

South Lincs: 146

Loughborough: Did not compete in the end!


Some excellent swims across the board with wins by 

Ollie Fitt, Mens 100 Backstroke, 100 Individual Medley, James Quinn in the 13 and Under and 15 and Under 100 Breastroke, Girls 15 and Under Freestyle Team: Sophie Turner, Georgia Spencer, Ciara Taylor, and Mia Woods, Ladies Open Medley Team: Cathy Thomson, Jaz Dearnley, Amy Coleman and Nicole Bradford, Mens Open Medley Team: Ollie Fitt, Andy Weatheritt, Tom Davis and Mike Lardner, Olivia Smith in the 11 year Old Girls 50 metres Butterfly, James Peacock in the Boys 11 and Under 50 metres Butterfly, Sophie Turner in the 15 and Under Girls 100 metres Freestyle, Jazz Dearnley in the Ladies Open 100 metres Breastroke, Olivia Smith in the 11 and Under Girls 50 metres Freestyle, and the Mens Open Freestyle Team of Fitt, Weatheritt, Davis and Lardner. Great Swims with many second places by Charlotte Dodge, Amelia Dunn, Millie Taylor, Daniel Moyses, Janos Kadar, Tiernan Stevenson, Daniel Moore, Luke Tunstall, Tom Lucas, Toby Offord, Harper Jackson, Evan Taylor, Bethan Endicott, Charlotte Flynn, William Coleman, Connor Brookes and Ciera Norman. An excellent start to the League season with a very hard fought competition with the two Cambridgeshire Clubs coming out on top.
